課程概述 |
This course includes two major parts. One is the continuation of the introduction to financial accounting. Topics related to long-term liabilities, investments, shareholders’ equity, statement of cash flows, as well as financial statement analysis will be covered. The second part is the introduction to cost and management accounting. Topics related to cost accounting systems, cost-volume-profit analysis, budgeting, standard costing systems, and decision making using accounting information will be covered. As such, this course offers students the knowledge about not only financial accounting information presented to outsiders of a firm, but also management accounting information used by managers inside a firm. |
課程目標 |
1. Understand fundamental accounting concepts and objectives and interpret financial output.
2. Be able to organize, analyze and synthesize financial data.
3. Understand and apply IFRS in preparation of the four primary financial statements.
4. Understand how managers inside a firm calculate product costs.
5. Understand what and how planning and control systems can help/induce managers to achieve the goal of a firm.
6. Be able to apply the techniques and use accounting information to make economic decisions.
